Important Licensing Disclaimer
BraidBids helps customers request hair braid quotes from local hair braiders. BraidBids does not verify every provider’s cosmetology license, hair braiding license, business license, insurance, training, or legal eligibility to provide services. Licensing rules may vary by state, city, county, and service type.
Customers are encouraged to do their own due diligence before booking, including asking the hair braider about licensing, experience, sanitation practices, pricing, policies, and service details if those matters are important to them.
Information We Collect
We may collect your name, mobile phone number, optional email address, ZIP code, selected hair braid style, braid size, request details, uploaded sample images, and messages related to your hair braid quote request.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to create your hair braid request, connect you with local hair braiders, send request updates, help providers understand your desired style, process payments when applicable, prevent misuse, provide support, and improve the BraidBids experience.
Uploaded Photos
Uploaded photos are used as reference images so hair braiders can understand the style you want. Do not upload photos that you do not have permission to use.
Sharing Information With Hair Braid Professionals
We may share request details with local hair braiders so they can review your request and provide a quote. This may include your selected hair braid style, braid size, requested appointment details, ZIP code or service area, uploaded reference images, and other request details you provide.
BraidBids hides customer and provider phone numbers before a hair braid professional is selected. After a customer selects a hair braid professional, BraidBids may share the customer and selected provider phone numbers with each other so they can coordinate the appointment directly by call or text.
SMS Text Updates and Phone Communication
When you provide your mobile phone number to BraidBids and agree to receive text messages, BraidBids may send SMS text messages related to your hair braid request. These messages may include quote alerts, request updates, selected provider confirmations, appointment-related notices, account messages, and support-related communications.
Message frequency may vary based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of BraidBids text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request help by replying HELP or by contacting admin@braidbids.com.
BraidBids may use third-party communication service providers, including Twilio, to help send, deliver, monitor, and manage SMS text messages. BraidBids may share limited information with these service providers only as needed to operate and support BraidBids text messaging.
BraidBids does not sell, rent, or transfer SMS consent. BraidBids does not share mobile opt-in data or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Direct Texting After Provider Selection
After a customer selects a hair braid professional, the customer and selected provider may communicate directly using their own phones. BraidBids is not responsible for direct calls, direct text messages, agreements, pricing changes, appointment changes, cancellations, or communications that happen outside the BraidBids platform after contact information has been shared.
Payments
BraidBids may use third-party payment processors to process payments. BraidBids does not store full payment card numbers. Payment information may be collected and processed by the payment provider according to its own security and privacy practices.
We Do Not Sell Personal Information
BraidBids does not sell your personal information. We use your information to operate the BraidBids service, connect customers with hair braid professionals, send service-related updates, provide support, and improve the platform.
